Typing Tone Marks

Copy all this across to a Word file. Then highlight a letter below with a tone mark above it, hit Insert (I) on the toolbar, and hit Symbol (S). This will take you to the Symbol dialog box and the same letter will be highlighted. Hit Shortcut Key (K), then type the command (e.g. Ctrl 1) in the box headed New Shortcut Key (N) and hit Assign (A). The command (Ctrl 1) will automatically move across to the Current Key (U) box. If the letter was already assigned, highlight the original Current Key and hit Remove (R). Finally hit Close. From now on, whenever you type Ctrl 1, the letter will appear on your screen with the tone mark above it.
